The chorus has recently participated in several events as part of our mission to fight for workers' rights...

March 5, 2012: The "Unemployment Line," organized by several cultural groups to demonstrate the plight of millions of Americans. The Chorus held up "pink slips" for 14 minutes, on Broadway between Liberty and Cedar Streets: the site of Occupy Wall Street's "Liberty Plaza."

March 22, 2012: The Restaurant Opportunities Centers (ROC), who organize and support restaurant workers around the country, asked us to join their demonstration againt the Capital Grille chain.

March 23, 2012: As we have done for many years, the Chorus opened the annual commemoration of the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire with song. The fire cost the lives of dozens of young women on March 23, 1911, 101 years ago, and led to the enactment of some of the first worker safety legislation.
